Cotton Twine Braided
Cotton twine is used to create escape openings in fishing pots. In the event that the pots are lost or left in the water, the cotton thread will gradually degrade and the escape openings will become larger, allowing caught fish to escape and preventing ghost fishing.
Using cotton thread in fishing lures supports sustainable fishing by reducing ghost fishing and minimising damage to the marine environment.
